The rarest willow we press all season. You choose the cleft from photographs before we build.
Dream. Play. Rise.
Nine bats, hand-pressed through eight stages in our Meerut workshop and shipped straight to your door. No importer, no distributor, no retail markup — just the willow, built to your spec, in New Zealand dollars. Ready for the first Saturday of the season. Flat $75 tracked shipping, in your hands in 11–12 days.
Ciel Sports is a cricket bat manufacturer in Meerut, India — the city that produces roughly 70% of the world's cricket bats. Every bat we sell is graded, pressed, shaped and finished in our own workshop, then shipped directly to the player, anywhere from Whangarei to Invercargill.
New Zealand is a small market a long way from everywhere, and cricketers here have long paid for that distance twice over — once in the brand markup and again in the freight. Buying direct from the workshop removes the first entirely and makes the second honest and flat.
Every bat is made to order: your player profile, your exact weight, your handle shape, your size and your name laser-engraved on the blade — at no extra charge.
We make a maximum of forty bats a day. Factories that turn out three thousand cannot give every bat the same attention — they choose a handful to lavish care on and the rest go out as they are. At forty, every single bat gets the same hands, the same grading and the same care. Akshat or Utkarsh answer personally when you message.

Kiwi wickets are generally slower and greener than Australian ones, with seam and swing doing more than pace and bounce. That changes the bat that suits you.
Slower, greener surfaces mean the ball arrives lower and later, and you play more off the back foot and square. A balanced mid swell with a generous sweet spot handles both the ball that seams and the one that sits up.
Where the ball does not come on, bat speed matters more than mass. Most New Zealand club batters get more out of a well-balanced 1,170–1,210g bat than a heavier one, particularly against the moving ball early in an innings.
Early-season Kiwi wickets are damp and green, and a new bat that has not been knocked in properly will mark and crack quickly. Every bat ships knocked in with a toe guard fitted, which matters more here than in most places.
Tell us your level, your height, the weight you currently play with and where you score most of your runs. We will recommend the profile and pickup that suit your cricket — and we will say so honestly if a less expensive bat is the better buy for you.
