Ciel Sports is a cricket bat manufacturer in Meerut, India — the city that makes roughly 70% of the world's cricket bats, including many that reach Brampton, Mississauga and Surrey under other names. Every bat we sell is graded, pressed, shaped and finished in our own workshop, then shipped directly to the player.
Canada's cricket season is short and precious. Between May and September there is no time to wait three weeks for a bat, and no sense paying an import markup on willow that started its journey in Meerut anyway. Order direct in the off-season and be ready for the first weekend of the summer.
Every bat is made to order: your player profile, your exact weight, your handle shape, your size and your name laser-engraved on the blade — at no extra charge.
We make a maximum of forty bats a day. Factories that turn out three thousand cannot give every bat the same attention — they choose a handful to lavish care on and the rest go out as they are. Profile
Mid to mid-low swell
Cooler air and matting wickets mean the ball often does not come on to the bat. A mid to mid-low swell puts more mass behind the ball where you meet it, which helps you pierce the field on slower, lower surfaces.
Pickup
Balanced, not heavy
With a season this short, most players go straight from indoor winter nets to competitive cricket. A well-balanced bat you can swing freely from the first weekend beats a heavy one you grow into by August.
Storage
Winter storage matters here
Six months of storage between seasons is longer than most cricketers anywhere face. Keep the bat indoors at room temperature — never a garage or basement — and give it a light coat of oil before it goes away and again before it comes out.

Yes. Ciel Sports is a cricket bat manufacturer in Meerut, India, and ships factory-direct to Canada. The range runs from $119 for the entry-level Surge to $892 for the Reserve Edition, plus a flat $62 tracked shipping charge per bat. Because you buy from the workshop rather than through a distributor and retailer, the same grade of English willow costs considerably less than local retail even once delivery is added.
How long does delivery take?
Your bat is built in 5 days, which includes crafting, oiling, knocking in and fitting a toe guard. Tracked transit then takes 6-7 days, so the total is 11-12 days from confirming your specification to the bat arriving. We send photographs of the finished bat and a tracking number before it ships.
Why are Meerut-made bats cheaper than the bats in local shops?
Roughly 70 percent of the world's cricket bats are made in Meerut, India, including many sold under well-known brand names. Those bats pass through a brand, an exporter, an importer and a retailer, each adding margin before reaching the shelf. Buying direct from the workshop removes those layers. The willow, the pressing and the craftsmanship are unchanged; only the supply chain is shorter.
Are the bats customised for each player?
Yes, and there is no extra charge. Every English willow bat is built to order with your choice of player profile, exact weight, handle shape, size and your name laser engraved on the blade. We make a maximum of forty bats a day precisely so that every one can be built this way.
Do the bats arrive ready to play?
Every bat is knocked in and fitted with a protective toe guard before dispatch, and oiled during the build. That means far less preparation at your end, though we always recommend a further period of gentle mallet work and some throwdowns with an older ball before facing a hard new ball in a match.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every English willow bat carries a 12-month handle warranty, which applies in Canada exactly as it does in India. If something goes wrong you message the founders directly on WhatsApp rather than dealing with a retailer or a support queue.
When should I order for the Canadian season?
Order in March or April to be ready for the opening weekend in May. Because the total time from confirming your specification to delivery is eleven to twelve days, even a late order arrives in time — but ordering early means you can knock the bat in properly during indoor nets rather than during your first match.
Do you ship to Brampton, Mississauga and Surrey?
Yes, and those are among our most frequent Canadian destinations. We ship tracked to every Canadian province and territory. Transit is typically six to seven days after the five-day build, and shipping is a flat CAD $62 per bat.
