Cricket Bat Repair —
By the People Who Make the Bats
Cracked edge? Broken toe? Loose handle? Dead surface? We repair it at our Meerut factory using the same willow, presses and materials we build new bats with. Ship from anywhere in India.
Why a Manufacturer Repairs Better Than a Repair Shop
Most cricket bat repairs in India are done by general repair shops working with whatever materials they can source locally. We are a bat manufacturer in Meerut. When we repair your bat, we use the exact same components, presses, and techniques that go into building a brand-new bat.
One Flat Price. Everything Included.
No per-crack pricing. No surprise add-ons. No separate shipping charge. One flat price covers the complete service for both English willow and Kashmir willow bats.
The only thing not included is the cost of shipping your bat to us — a standard courier charge you pay your local courier. Everything from the moment your bat reaches our Meerut factory, including its journey back to your door, is covered in the ₹2,000.
Every Type of Bat Damage We Repair
From minor edge cracks to full handle replacement, here is every kind of breakage that can happen to a cricket bat — and what our repair does for each.
What happens: A split runs along or into the edge of the blade, usually from off-centre hits or inadequate edge knocking. Left untreated it lengthens and eventually reaches the blade.
Our repair: We open and clean the crack, bond it with manufacturing-grade adhesive under hydraulic clamping, reinforce with fibre edge tape, re-press, and re-knock the repaired edge so it performs like the rest of the blade.
What happens: The bottom of the bat splits or splays open — usually from yorkers on hard ground, tapping the crease, or moisture damage from wet outfields.
Our repair: We dry the toe fully if moisture is involved, rebuild and bond the splayed wood, re-shape the toe, and fit a fresh toe guard with new thread. The rebuilt toe is sealed against future moisture.
What happens: Fine cracks across the face. Usually cosmetic — but if they deepen or the surface has gone soft and dead, the bat needs re-pressing and re-finishing.
Our repair: We stabilise the surface, re-press the face to restore density and rebound, apply a fresh scuff sheet, and re-knock. A tired, dead-feeling bat surface comes back to life.
What happens: A crack running into the body of the blade. Repairability depends on depth, direction, and whether it crosses the grain.
Our repair: We assess from your photos first. Repairable blade cracks are bonded, clamped, reinforced and re-pressed. We tell you honestly before you ship if a blade crack is beyond economical repair — we will not take your money for a bat we cannot save.
What happens: The V-shaped joint where the handle enters the blade has cracked or started separating. This is the most stressed point on the bat and the hardest to repair correctly.
Our repair: As manufacturers who build splices daily, we can re-splice or re-set the joint properly — something most repair shops cannot do reliably. We rebuild the joint to original strength using production techniques.
What happens: The handle has gone loose, the cane has cracked, the handle twists in the splice, or it has snapped entirely.
Our repair: We replace the handle completely with a fresh multi-piece Singapore Cane handle — the same handle we fit to new bats — and re-splice it into the blade. A re-handled bat from us performs like a new bat from the grip down.
What happens: The twine binding around the shoulder of the blade has frayed or come loose, or the bottom-hand binding has worn through.
Our repair: We re-bind the shoulder and any worn areas with fresh twine, re-glue, and re-finish. Included as part of the complete repair — not a separate charge.
What happens: No crack, but the bat has lost its ping — shots feel flat, the surface feels soft, and the ball does not come off the face like it used to. Common in bats that were never properly knocked in or have been over-used.
Our repair: We re-press the blade to restore wood density, re-knock fully, and re-finish. This brings back the rebound and ping of a properly prepared bat. One of our most requested services.
